GOVERNANCE

At the DOUGLAS Group, governance means systematically integrating ESG principles into our decisions and processes. We create the framework conditions to ensure that sustainability, responsibility, and compliance are firmly anchored in our corporate management.

OUR AMBITION

We are committed to transparency, integrity, and responsible conduct at all levels. Our corporate governance is based on high ethical standards and legal requirements in order to strengthen trust among employees, partners, and customers alike. Through clear structures and consistent compliance measures, we ensure that the DOUGLAS Group operates in a sustainable, fair, and future-proof manner.

ACTING SUSTAINABLY

A strategy is only as good as its implementation. That is why we have defined clear responsibilities within DOUGLAS Group management to consistently place ESG and sustainability at the heart of our actions. The achievement of our ESG goals is directly linked to management compensation—this ensures that sustainable action is an integral part of our corporate management.

Compliance

The DOUGLAS Group has a comprehensive compliance management system that forms an integral part of our governance framework. It supports the early detection and control of potential risks and stands for ethical and responsible behavior toward customers, business partners, and society. Through continuous training measures and a cross-border network of compliance officers, we ensure that all employees are familiar with and adhere to our standards and principles of conduct.

COMPLIANCE

ESG Reporting

With the implementation of the EU Directive on Sustainability Reporting (CSRD), the DOUGLAS Group is also required to report comprehensively on the opportunities, risks, and impacts of its business activities in relation to environmental and social issues.

To meet these requirements, we have established an internal system for annual ESG reporting. To this end, we have implemented a carbon accounting process and expanded the controlling department to include ESG reporting competencies. This means that we have been fully CSRD-compliant since the end of 2024 and can ensure the highest level of transparency, comparability, and credibility of our sustainability performance.
