PRODUCTS

As a beauty retailer, the product range plays a key role for us at ESG. We strive to optimize the sustainability of all products—both our own and those of our brand partners.

OUR AMBITION

We work closely with our partners to advance sustainability in the beauty industry, to motivate the development and implementation of sustainability strategies, and to take concrete measures together to combat man-made climate change. At the same time, we want to reduce the carbon footprint of our own brands.

CORPORATE BRANDS

All our corporate brand products fully comply with EU regulations, and we continuously monitor developments in the regulatory field.
Our portfolio includes a growing selection of vegan formulas, particularly within the Jardin Bohème and one.two.free! brands. In addition, our DOUGLAS NATURALS range is COSMOS ORGANIC certified, and we are committed to further increasing the proportion of certified products that meet these high standards. COSMOS certification ensures that all important aspects of the product—from the sourcing of ingredients to labeling—meet strict organic and sustainability criteria.

In fiscal year 2022/23, we introduced DOUGLAS Naturals, another organic range. In addition, we launched The Botanist, a new brand based on eco-design principles, in fiscal year 2024/25.

The COSMOS Organic Standard certification is an internationally recognized quality standard for natural and organic cosmetics. It ensures that products meet high requirements for organic ingredients, environmental compatibility, and sustainable production. The certification thus offers consumers reliable guidance for environmentally conscious and ethical cosmetics. As the DOUGLAS Group, it is our goal to further increase the proportion of certified natural products that comply with the COSMOS Organic Standard in our range.

FAIRGLOW

Since fiscal year 2024/25, DOUGLAS Corporate Brands has been working with Fairglow to analyze the environmental impact of its product portfolio. In a comprehensive life cycle analysis of over 1,000 products, all phases – from ingredients and packaging to use and disposal – were evaluated. The aim is to further develop our packaging policy, reduce product-related emissions, and systematically promote sustainable product design through eco-design.

SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING STRATEGY

As a leader in the cosmetics industry, we recognize that every aspect of our products, including packaging, should reflect our commitment to excellence. Our packaging strategy embodies our commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability, setting rigorous standards for regulatory compliance, technical precision, and environmental responsibility.
